Not true. ESPN dallas reporting that the Mavs will amnesty Haywood and should lead in the bid for Brand.
They "only" have about $4m to bid on him thanks to the acquisition of Collison and Dahntay Jones in addition to Kaman.
The Hornets can beat that if they want to.
