Damn, I thought they progressed nicely as a band and began writing complete songs around Neon Ballroom and Diorama. I know a lot of people were wanting more post-grunge riffing, but their later albums are damn solid. To stick to their more bar/power chord era, I honestly prefer Freak Show over Frogstomp.

I wanted to put the opening riff to Slave in the riff thread, but he only embellishes it a couple of times, and the embellishment is what I love.

I agree with all of this. I'm a pretty big fan and followed them from Freak Show through Young Modern (which has some really good songs on it..."Straight Lines" is one of their better pieces of work).

While Frogstomp brought them fame, they really did progress quite a bit over the years. Every album has some great moments, IMHO.
