Watched several fat pregnant does at my camp this weekend! Usually have dropped by now! I thought we had a late rut this year! Now I know we did

They dropping in South Arky, right now. Little bitty weak-legged ones everywhere.

I hunt just north of osyka and we typically have does dropping until the beginning of september. Any fawn born this week was conceived in middle December.

The rut happens at the same time every year + or - 4 or 5 days. Weather has a lot to do with if you actually see the activity. Some does aren't bred the first time they are ready, so that can explain late births.

I normally see does with fawns by now but have yet to see any yet. We usually have births from mid to late June thru mid July. Seems a few weeks late so far

We've had them drop later than this but this is usually around the time I start seeing some babies
