Is this really that big of a deal? He wasnt really that good last season. Heat would be the favorites with or without him, IMO.

He only shot 45 percent from outside, the BEST he has ever shot!

He sucked in the playoffs but shot 45% from 3 during the regular season

Yeah I suppose you're right. He only shot 45% from 3pt. And only like 55% from the corner 3.

Is he the Ray Allen of old? No, but he can still knock down 3s. He will open up the Heat offense even more than it was this past season. You have to respect Allen coming off screens like no other player on the Heat roster (Miller yes, but he's a lot slower). The Heat offense just got a lot more dangerous even without Allen hitting a shot.

They just have to figure out ways to hide him defensively.
