Mr. Crutchfield is a 1984 graduate of Covington High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Northeast Louisiana University, certification in Social Studies and a Master of Education Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University. He played college football at Northeast Louisiana University from 1984 to 1988 as a defensive back.

Why does everyone think he is so anti-LSU? Maybe ST Aug's administration is, but he is a Louisiana native and played on the 1987 national championship team at NLU. He was good enough to play at LSU, if you do not remember him. Maybe he holds a grudge against LSU for not offering him in 1984?

He believed Bama to be a better place for his step son than LSU. That about says it all to me.

I think us getting Jarvis Landry was almost a nail in the coffin for our chances with Sylve. Then getting Beckham demolished any chances he might switch

It is believed amongst some that Saban had an influence on St.Aug's choice of CC for recruiting purposes, specifically Fournette.

We missed on Sylvie. (sarcasm) He's really fast in a straight line. Loved how EVERYBODY had Landry as THE WR in La. Except, of course, ESPN.

If I remember correctly Saban wrote a letter of recommendation to St. Aug for Crutchfield. At least that was the rumor around NOLA. If true, I'd guess that's completely out of the ordinary as far as things major college coaches do for 2A high school coaches.

Either Saban, or Burton Burns, whose brother was on the Sugar Bowl committee and is politically connected in New Orleans and at St Aug.

So did Frank Wilson. Those who believe CC is going to completely shut out LSU forget that he and Frank are close

As did Frank Wilson. What's your point?

Do you know if Ronnie is a St Aug board member? I know he is heavily involved in NO and likely has some kind of influence, but I haven't been able to find a list of their members to see if there is a direct link.
