His sandbagging of Conan was pathetic. Dude agreed to step aside. Comes back with the shite Jay Leno show at 9 which destroys the lead-in for not just Conan but NBC affliates local news. Then when Conan struggles to overtake Letterman after just 6 months on the air Jay fricking throws him under the bus and says he could, even though it took him what 2 years to beat Letterman when he first started. If he wanted back in the late night game man up and go to Fox or hell go to ABC and do to Kimmel what you did to Conan, but don't frick over Conan for having the issues he had early on.

That's why I enjoyed reading the book so much in 2012. Leno got fricked so hard when he originally took over "The Tonight Show" and his response the whole time was to play a good soldier publicly (but play smart behind the scenes) and shrug it off by saying, "It's business."

If you look at his actions within that context, Leno isn't an a-hole--he's a survivor. And Conan seems like the chump.

It really beside the point but Conan was never going to work with the Tonight Show. His humor didn't fit.
