Xavi is a better player than Lampard and Gerrard.

Not in their primes. He has more longevity because you can still make sideways and back passes when you get old. If I was passing to Messi I could have as many assists as Xavi. Fine player for what he does by easily the most overrated soccer player of the modern era.

Good luck getting people to back you on that statement. I guess that is why past greats and journalist alike say he is one the midfielders to ever play the game. As for Chelski fans, it is in their nature to troll. And Beezy, who is this Diaspora? And what position does he play and can Arsenal afford him?

I disagree. A DLP is far more important to a team than a AM. Xavi is the lynchpin for two of the best teams the soccer world has ever seen. Passing to Messi has little to do with it, as Xavi's primary job is not to make assists, but to set the tempo of the play. As we saw this last tournament, Spain can slow play to a standstill, and then change tempo precisely when they want to.
