I'd much rather our CDM be crazy than our CB.
He is definitely one of those guys that drive you crazy though. But, for every tard thing he does (like head the ball at our own goal with our keeper on the ground) he does something great like step in win the ball make a good run and play a beautiful ball to almost set up the match winner for Mata.

I don't think age has anything to do with it, I think it's just who/what he is as a player. Which, like I said, is why I much prefer him in the def midfield. You can get away with having a guy like that there sometimes but when he's at CB you are inviting major trouble.
