Saw the highlights just now, that was one awful looking dive. Tough to call it one of the worst ever simply because there wasn't much on the game (as opposed to a WC semi etc etc). Santi still looked foolish as hell doing it.

Gerv needs to learn how to finish, holy hell did he look awkward in front of goal.

It was actually one of the best dives ever. Timing was impeccable, and totally fooled the referee.

That being said, he should be suspended for something on the order of 5 games. We have to eliminate this kind of play from the game.

Just coming to post this from ESPN Game watch.

34' Ramsey slips on the ice cold turf and hands Bradford a goal kick. He shanked the ball against his other foot.

Wilshere and Chamberlain, the two most promising youngsters, show class and heart and coolness at the spot. The three veterans all choke. How long before we sell wilshere and Chamberlain? Over/under two years?

Pathetic. Im starting to lean towards a change at the top needs to be made. Every game now i get more and ore frustrated with this squad.

Laughing that some on this board thought wed be fine without rvp.

Losing RVP is just a great scapegoat for Arsenal supporters and detractors.

Losing Song may have been an even bigger loss. This team creates so few chances, and the one's we do create seem to fall to Gervinho.

Yeah there were a lot of people here who somehow came to the conclusion that losing Song wasn't that big of a deal... I never understood that. I think even crazy, whose opinion I respect a lot, made a long post about how losing Song wasn't a problem for us.

Song did make a ton of stupid mistakes and is a very undisciplined holding midfielder. Wenger sold him for well over his real market value, after he led the team in assists last year. However, a like replacement wasn't signed to replace him. Wenger opted to rely on Diaby at first, huge gamble considering that it's Diaby after all. Now, Arteta plays deep and is very ineffective when pressured on the ball.

ETA: It was a good business deal by Wenger. But, as I told FOBUDan the other day, it was just stock trading not a wise squad decision.

Song was a big deal, but the guy isnt going to play in front of the net. At least we have some help in the midfield. Nothing up front. Besides i said rvp would have been a bigger loss than fabregas. This was before he blew up.

A near full XI and only 1 very late equalizing goal to speak of, over 120 minutes. Pretty damn sad

Oh well, with our luck we would have lost to Chelsea down the road anyway.

Goalscorers have little influence on the scoreboard without good service. This team's biggest issue is that they create very few quality goalscoring opportunities.

Yes Van Persie was lethal in front of goal last season. Look at some of his goals though. Most of them put him in positions where he could succeed.

Arsenal's best opportunities this season stem from low percentage crosses into the box; hardly anything resembling the incisiveness of Nasri, Song or Fabregas.
