I've made it through the place with everyone dieing maybe once, and I've also hit a brick wall at the second boss another time. The beauty to the instances in this game is the difficulty. They are very difficult for an unorganized group, but with solid teamwork it can be a breeze.

Regarding the Guardian play in there, you're res'ing traits, shields, and boons during the fights are more important then trying to do mass amounts of damage. You will have plenty of opportunity to help kill stuff too.

Don't forget the greatsword Whirl finishers. Cleansing the group every 5-6 seconds can be pretty important on certain fights. In other words be ready to swap weapons and roles at all times.
