That's great and all, but that doesn't change the fact that the previous statement was wrong.

It was a knockout game in a major tournament, even if the tournament is under the other 2 in importance the statement said knockout games since 06. Spain & the US both had their A team. All there is to it, pretty simple.

Spain is better as a whole. Ronaldo gives brazil a great chance.

To give you an idea the amount of importance attached to the confed cup outside the USA, I watched the games that you're referring to, and I just forgot about them. I lived in London for 27 years. It's just a glorified kickabout, it's a series of friendlies with a trophy at the end. In terms of importance, it's WC, regional trophy and then nothing. Unless you consider England's last major trophy to have come in 1997
