My vote goes to Jon Bon Jovi. If you have never heard this song, you'll be humming it all day...and then shooting yourself in the face with a bazooka! R2D2, We Wish You a Very Merry Christmas!

IMO Bon Jovi never made a good song, but if you are a professional band and never release a bad song, you probably aren't trying hard enough.

Never made a good song? It seems like you are trying too hard to be a manly bad-arse. You do realize that they are near the top of the all time selling chart and have been the 2nd most profitable touring band of the last decade, right?

possibly radiohead? saw 'em open for REM in '95, and i absolutely dreaded hearing that song "creep". obviously they're doing something right 'cuz they're still around & doing well for themselves, but man, "creep" left a bad taste in my mouth....

Creep is horrible? How exactly are we defining "horrible"?

well, despite the OP, i stopped short of saying "horrible"....but when it came out in '95, "creep" didn't stick out any more than the other so-called "modern" rock songs that were getting airplay at the time. i wrote them off as another band who will get their 15 minutes & we'll never hear from 'em again, and the live performance i saw did little to change that opinion. so, maybe "horrible" in the sense that if a current radiohead fan wanted to define the band to a newbie, "creep" probably would NOT be the song to go with.

to their credit, they re-invented themselves & didn't try putting out "creep 2" as a follow-up, and as a result found themselves a nice core fanbase along the way....

This means that you don't like the song "livin' on a prayer". This makes you the first person I've ever known who disliked the song "livin' on a prayer".

radiohead "creep"

I kind of agree with this. Their first record had quite a few songs that were better than this one.

Wow, that is the only song of theirs I like and can listen to, at all.

I think the song "Mr. Jones" by Counting Crows is a truly awful song. And for years I never listened to Counting Crows because I figured they sucked as a result.

Later I figured out I kinda liked them. Mr. Jones is probably my least favorite song that they've ever done.

Was Karma Police on their first record? That is unquestionably my fav radiohead song. And I do think Creep was a pretty weak first track.

THIS. I honestly don't get what the fuss is all about with their "re-invention". Creep is far and away their BEST song, not their worst one.

In all seriousness, you make a good point about them releasing a terrible debut release but you went WAY over the line with the "never released a good song". Like them or not, Bon Jovi released 4 or 5 of the best pop metal songs of all time. Wanted Dead or Alive, Living on a Prayer, Born to be My Baby, Lay Your Hands on Me, Youngs Guns, etc are iconic, well written pop songs.
