Lets see, its a brand new stadium with modern facilities for the most popular sport in the fricking world. Also, since they opened the stadium, a shite-ton more people give a frick about the Houston Dynamo then before. More to the point, if people are going to travel to away soccer games or otherwise plan trips to see games, I think they would prefer to go to a state-of-the-art facility in the middle of a huge city as opposed to an old, rinky dinky stadium in the boonies. Therefore, the team gains more out of town fans which increases the number of fans, etc.
