Most Utd fans I know with the exception of a few only know Rooney, SAF, and maybe Chicharito. Fans in name only...only time you'll hear from them is if they saw that we won on the ESPN bottom line.

Far from being an expert I admit, but I became a Man Utd fan back in the day of Ruud van Nistelrooy’s scoring exploits. Love old school guys like Giggs and Scholes. Wish I could have seen Beckham play for them.

USMNT is true passion and heartbreak though.

I know, and I try to be objective about it when I meet a new one, but damn. It just seems like there are SO MANY of them like you described.
