I wouldn't be hesitant to eat from a food truck, but until yesterday when I saw the Taco something truck on Perkins I had never seen one in BR...Guess they don't hang out close to where I work at in BR.

Whenever I see the word roach associated with food, I think about Southern Belle Sandwich...I know the people that owned it and always thought they ran a clean operation...Guess I thought wrong.

RIP. Those little sandwiches were like crack. You'd keep pounding them at a tailgate party or wedding reception, then later realize you just ate 5 sandwiches (no fattie).

Yeah, that's a downer. I usually find myself looking on twitter and running them down on the other side of town. I think most have gotten into a pattern in where they're going to be for lunch or dinner because it's successful, and they stick to it. I think they have tried other areas, but due to what I brought up in this thread, the hesitation of people or confusion as to what it is still today, people don't hit them up like in other places where it's becomming normal to them, and people are talking it up at work and such. The day this becomes more mainstream is the day I think you will see even more food trucks, and in different areas around town. For now, I'd venture to say that MAYBE 1-2% of Baton Rougeans have even tried food from one of these trucks, and that may be a bit high.
