People were hot on him early, but him bombing out without RGIII has pretty much eliminated him.
Just the fact he found and developed RGlll is huge. His network with Texas High School coaches is what Arky needs to recruit well. I hope yall pass him by.

See, I think he is a underrated recruiter, Top 25 classes at Oklahoma St aren't easily attained.
Maybe not in the past, but after T Boone's renovations they have a lot to sell. I think the issue is not that he can't get talent, but when he did have success he couldn't move up to top 20 classes. He has a ceiling on recruiting it seems.

His past work speaks for itself.
What past work? Beating up on a weak conference where only he had access to Texas talent?
I give him credit for developing some NFL talent out of two star players. But he has not shown he can run with the big dogs.
His 2013 class, which given his recent success and step up into the Big 12 should mean a top 25 class, is not even in the top 40. That is not going to cut it in the SEC West where A&M is going to run top 10 offensive talent down your throat and LSU/Bama is going to smother you with top 10 defensive talent.

They might have nice facilities, but he Stillwater is awful, just awful. It's almost comparable to Starkville.

Patterson has made TCU look better than what they really are. They're probably the 6th most popular team in the Dallas area after Texas, A&M, Tech, Baylor, SMU and Oklahoma. TCU is a absolute doormat and gets the last picks when it comes to recruiting.
