Like make the postseason every year? Because we haven't don't that under Mainieri. Like host a regional every year? Hasn't happened either. Again, by your own definition, if we look at the state of LSU's program (a program that has accomplished more success in the past 25 years than any other team), then we aren't really meeting those expectations.

Why shouldn't we judge LSU's program against the other teams in the SEC? Isn't that our most pressing competition? If we aren't to judge them against our most immediate competitors, who should we measure success against? Just place each team in a vacuum and ignore all other considerations?

Besides, you want to judge the current state of LSU's program against "what it has done"? As in the 1990s? If that's the case, we are failing miserably.

So, yeah, a lot of what you said doesn't make sense to me.
