Anyone every fish the lake at White Kitchen?
Bought a new pelican catch 100 last week and took it out for the first time yesterday evening. Mostly just paddled around but did cast a few times and caught one small bass.

Saw on Facebook a water spout passed over Sand Dollar and the coast guard is out there having to rescue people, bringing some back without their kayaks.

I got out 30 mins or so early just in case
Glad I did. It was really bad at my camp for 10 mins or so. I know at least one guy road it out at a random island

Yeah was some nasty shite that blew through
Really hope everyone is safe and accounted for
But like Unc said in the other thread, there was no damn reason to have been on the water with that line of storms coming in
They knew it was coming, just be smart

I managed one red. Was hauling arse back to the camp when the bad stuff blew through. Could see the water spout passing as I was pedaling back in, maybe a 1/4 to 1/2 mile away

7-10 was prime time out there. I just suck at fishing. I know for fact the winning slam was caught between that time.

Took our boats out on their maiden voyage Friday PM after work/school. Head a great time. We hit the west side of Utah lake on BLM land. Even though we weren't really focused on fishing, the boy and I managed to boat a couple of smaller white bass.

I’m going to fish it. Hopefully I’ll be able to prefish. Weather doesn’t look bad, but forecast shows overcast all day and 40% chance of rain so forget sight casting

I hit up Kelso Bayou in Hackberry yesterday,
Finally got a nice day to wet a line so jumped on it, water was lil stained but not terrible at all, the tide was weak shite so finding moving water was tough but managed to found a couple

That's some ugly water but it was prettier than where we were. I fished north of No8 and managed a mess of trout with one bull red that was longer than my Hawg Trough measuring board. Probably 33+. I was glad to be out in the yak again.

I caught a bunch of dink trout at PP, tried to move to find some reds and there was a bass boat anchored up in the mouth of the pond I was trying to get to wearing the reds out. I was pushing my luck waiting for that mofo to leave, and got caught in that crap when I was headed back to the truck. Drank a lot of beer while fishing roadside the rest of the day. My podnah ended up catching a flounder at one of the bridges, but we couldn't buy a red for some stupid reason, plenty of small trout. At least I came home with some.

My neighbor said the Pelican's are the best bang for your buck kayak wise. Not sure if true but he's been kayak fishing before it was cool to do .
I've been looking at some at Academy

Pelican Catch 100, Ascend FS12 and the Jackson Bite are all worth a look. Jackson is inarguably more well regarded than the other 2 from a fit and finish standpoint but the Bite is pretty bare bones in terms of built in fishing amenities. Just kind of depends on what you're looking for.
