knowing what people know now about head injuries, think they are going to let their kids just sign up to play football?

I don't know where the "play without helmets and they won't get hurt as much" idea came from.
Back in the early 1900's so many college players were dying and getting seriously hurt that they almost banned the sport then. 24 guys died in 5 years and there weren't nearly as many teams. Imagine the reaction if 5 college guys a year died now.
