When will the Hornets sign a deal?? I would hope in the next 12 months they either buy an expansion team outright or sign an exclusivity deal like some other teams are choosing. The Hornets are rebuilding. This is the time we need one the most.

Boston becomes the 11th NBA team to either purchase or sign a hybrid deal.

Why? Dleague teams lose money and the only benefit of owning one is controlling the coaching staff for instance if you wanted to focus on developing players in a defense first playing style similar to the Hornets. You have no exclusive rights to players on the team and if that changes at all it won't change until after the next lockout in 2017.

Hornets are associated with Iowa Energy. They can send players down to them. No need for a further relationship unless Benson really wants to waste a lot of money

yeah i don't think we need to worry too much about filling the very last roster spot that we need to buy a D-league team
