my Ville Platte buddy says that by May/June all the bass in Chicot are either in freezers or in someones sewer system. They fish them out early.
I've had luck with trick worm rigged jerkbait style, in mixed grass and pulling over duckweed.

We throw Watermelon/Red Horny Toad, wacky senko in junebug, wat/red senko texas rigged, Ribbets, and zoom ole monster worms. Good Luck.
