does the seller want cash only? I would feel much safer walking around with a $4000 cashiers check than cash.

When you get to 10K there is paperwork to fill out, but not a huge deal

You get scared carrying around 40 100s for a short period of time?

In the age of photoshop, there are too many phony cashiers checks out there.

When I bought my son a used car in 2008, the buyer did not want cashiers check. I made prior arrangements at the bank for the cash and we met in the lobby.

He walked out of there with the cash, I did not.

My husband's aunt cashed a check to pay her roofer who wanted cash. She was followed out of the bank and she was robbed.
