Don't know how I feel yet, but it will make betting easier since we will see the same horses against each other a lot.

I have mixed feelings about this. Some good things some not so great. Really dislike this:

The only grass race that will count for points is Newmarket's Royal Lodge Stakes held in late September in England.

Not reading but will the Louisiana Derby count

I think it's pretty cool, especially for people like me who try to get more into racing other than the few months pf the triple crown'.

I don't like that either. Look at paddy O prado and dullahan.
I feel bad for the ill derby
It gets nothing, and hasn't produced in a while, but people forget war emblem

From drf with a list.
I am kinda bothered by the filly thing, I guess. It's hard to run against the boys every time, so the only way for one to get in without doing the whole series is to win one of the big 7. Then they may run their derby race before the derby

YES, Louisiana Derby to play a major role.

That's followed by the most important phase of the Kentucky Derby Championship Season. The races in this stage encompass the biggest events: the Florida Derby, Wood Memorial, Santa Anita Derby, Arkansas Derby, Toyota Blue Grass and Louisiana Derby, while also including the $2 million U.A.E. Derby in Dubai. Those races will offer a 100-40-20-10 point scale.

Probably Churchill trying to get better horses to their track (fair grounds).
It's usually looked at as an easier path to huge graded earnings because it's a g2.
Maybe I'm just being cynical
Good for us horse fans in Louisiana, though.
And UAE derby?! Top 7?! You fricking kidding me?!
It appears the list of races has vanished from my link. I was gonna test my conspiracy theory and see if Calder had anything listed

I like it... but I don't like how the odds will go down. Probably no more 50:1's

Any thoughts on the Churchill card tomorrow?
