What about: The "Ol Beachcomber"
Remember him well. The Ol' Beachcomber liked his Falstaff. He, too, would come into the photo lab where I work. Grump, but nice, old fart.
Remember Jerry Breaux?

Worked at both The Sports Shop and Stienbergs back in the day. Mr Fred and his sidekick Velo were fun to be around. Met Hank Jr at the store one morning after a concert the night before. He was a friend of Mr Freds. I'll never forget the item he bought, a hand full of LaCrosse hipboot straps. Funtimes.

How about Steinburgs on ST Phillips downtown.
My dad would take me there when I was young. I remember them having a polar bear. It was mounted standing upright. That thing was a giant when I was young and looking up at it.

Along with much other drinks driving that old white stationwagon. And yes, I drank with him a few times at Old River.
