I'd definitely rent a car. Getting TO the game mite not be an issue without one, but with the post game traffic nitemare, you're much better off having your own transportation. Enterprise usually has a good wkend package with no mileage charges. If you are considering walking from downtown, factor in the heat if it's a day game & there is a good chance it will.Also, walking back, anywhere, after a full day of tailgating round Tiger Stadium can be difficult after all you will be eating & drinking.

That's a good reminder. Need to pack the flask. Do they do simple "spot checks" only if you have a bag (like at Husky Stadium) or do they pat you down (like at Century Link - Seahawks Stadium)?
