It seems that most of our fans forget that winning the sec is a big deal. Instead they want to bitch about how our coaches should be fired. LSU had an amazing football season and a damn good baseball season.

Good point. Disappointment from not winning the national is a good problem to have. Proud of both teams for winning the best conference in the nation.

I do like that our fans get frustrated when we are not the best, you don't compete to lose!! However, I know some rantards take it over board with the firing issue, but I like the passion of bleeding Purple and Gold!! Congrats Tigers!!

No doubt its a great accomplishment. It's hard to be satisfied with that after the way we finished both seasons though. If we had at least put up a good fight and looked even remotely prepared in our biggest game of the year for both sports then there'd be a lot less negativity. It's cool and all that we get another banner to hang up but it doesn't do much more than make me sick to my stomach when I think about how we finished (or lack there of) both seasons.

Would mean more even if we had lost to a team who actually won their conference as well and not to a runner-up in their division.

Awesome season yes, but it doesn't feel right being the best in the conference yet another team in the conference is the best in the nation. Could happen in baseball too.

I would rather not won the SEC champ and made it to Omaha, any day of the year. Ask Arkansas

And didn't the women track team win the SEC and the national championship?

Agree completely. Also agree with the other poster that I'd rather be in Omaha as a non-SEC champ right now.

The problem with being the "SEC CHAMPS" is that other SEC schools will be national champs. Bama obviously in football and with 3 SEC teams in Omaha, odds are one of them will win the baseball title.

Alabama laughs at LSU's football conference championship. And Florida, USC, and Arkansas all laugh at their baseball conference champ. You can't say that you are the best in the conference when other teams win more than you later and get farther in the end.

And where did Onelane, OooLaLa, and UNO end up in their conferences ????

Because they weren't unhappy at all sitting at home while we pounded Georgia? Yeah, Nick looked really happy having to sit on the set of ESPN Gameday. I'm sure he would have rather been wearing a polo shirt and standing on the sidelines coaching...

I wouldn't change the way we got into the BCSCG for the way Bama did. Not ever.

That being said: Bama-20 total team NCs, LSU-42. That's right, more than double.
