Also, how did you account for the depth of the ice chest. You really threw me with your measurements when you dropped those 2X2's under it.

Because wood is retarded. Most all common cuts of wood are roughly 0.5" smaller than listed. So a 2x4 is actually more like. 1.5x3.5. Same applies with the 2x2 used, they actually measure ~ 1.5x1.5.

ETA: just saw your second question but I'm not quite sure I understand what you're asking.
