I just have a hard time understanding if it's coaching, then how can a hitter like rymes do what he did with this coach then a guy like fields do what he does coached by the same coach?

rhymes hit for average before he got to LSU, LSU coaching has little to do with his talent level vs. fields.

ok, but rymes never hit for this high of an average, then who gets credit for the improvement?

I'm not a javi supporter, i just dont' get that type of angle. if you give credit for k.g. getting better but McCune not to the pitching coach. then you have to say rymes, katz, nola, got better even though another didn't under the hitting coach.

i think it has more to do about players and their ability.

i think about football. Mike shula was a terrible coach. he went 6-6 in his last year. However, Saban, is the best coach. In his first year at bama, he went 6-6. why, same talent. He got better as coach because he got better players. The best coaches get the best players. I believe players make coaches more than coaches make players.
