Should Benson purchase a D-League Team?

SAS, GS, HOU, OKC, POR, LAL, and DAL all have teams.
Advantages are that with new CBA you can send injured players down to rehab and eventually you'll have a leg up if exclusivity rights are ever activated.
It's also a good way to expand your fanbase.
With that said, I'd like to introduce you to the fictional BILOXI BREAKERS, D-league affiliate of our New Orleans Hornets/Krewe/Brass/Spirit/Knights/Pelicans.
and the home of YOUR Biloxi Breakers....

Yeah. Can NOLA be a trendsetter and not be last for once?
LAL, SA, OKC, DAL, HOU, GS, POR, CLE, NY, BKN all either own a team or have exclusive agreements like AAA-baseball.
The new collective bargainaing agreement also allows injury assignments like baseball. Get in game shape in small towns, not New Orleans Arena.

I'm completely down with this. Good idea. Maybe I can find my old N.O. Breakers USFL gear.

Yes and give it to Drew Brees as an extra signing bonus. But he needs to sign Brees 1st

I think he should look to do this before the lease is up, should this all work out, in 2024. My order for locales:
Biloxi
Lafayette
Mobile
Jackson
Baton Rouge
BR low just because of the large NCAA presence in both men's and women's basketball. Not a BR shot.
