You're right. Drummond reminds me too much of Ryan Bowen for us to take him.

I would be ecstatic if Drummond drops to us at 10. The guy didn't have the best freshman year, but I'm confident that Monty could at least develop him into a really good defender. I get that Davis + Gordon are a great duo to build around, but I think we're going to need to take a high risk/high reward type player and hit a home run with it if we want to actually win a championship. While the teams between 2 and 9 obviously would have passed on him in that situation, I'd bet that each one of them STRONGLY thought about taking him, including Charlotte at 2. While it's a long shot for it to happen, a Davis/Drummond frontcourt would have the highest ceiling in the NBA.

would be sick if drummond falls to 10.... can't see it happening though.

if drummond ever lives to his potential, he, ad, and gordon would make a sick core.

From the Facts of Life?

And a BIG yes to Drummond if he's available at 10

If he's there at 10 you have to take him. Boom or bust pick, probably a bust, but if he booms...look out...

he doesn't necessarily have to be a boom or bust...he has a lot of skills and will improve. like someone else said, he should at the least be a good defensive center. He and Davis would be incredible. If he falls to 10, it's a no brainer

Can't really argue with that.

I wouldn't have touched him at the 4 or 5 if we'd lost the lottery, but taking him at 10 and pairing him with Davis is intriguing.

Yes, I'm one of the guys that has been bagging on ADrummond for months. However:

Drummond is mega boom or bust. Could be Howard, could be Kwame.

BUT if both Davis and he pan out, they both have MASSIVE upsides, and you essentially have Dwight Howard and Kevin Garnett in their primes, playing together. We win multiple championships.

But that isn't happening so...
