We would agree to take a team in after biggest natural coaster in our history then try not to give them back?

No I'm not saying that it's just no one knew if New Orleans would recover. OKC supported the team and showed if the Hornets couldn't return here that they could inherit them

Would be similar to an F5 ripping OKC a new arse, killing hundreds of people, and having a random city try and steal the Thunder.
Their hospitality was one thing, but trying to keep the Hornets was incredibly poor taste given the circumstances. I also can't find the article, but some count journalist in OKC didn't make it better with an article she wrote about being better off with the Thunder anyway.
