It'll be a good one. Hopefully against a noteworthy team (LAC anyone??)

doubt it. they are going to do a Lakers v. Clippers game possibly. or Clippers v. Thunder or someone big. the Clippers are too big of a team now to put against the Hornets to open the season.

with #1 pick though, who knows?

you need to adjust your level, man. if you think AD is going to even the Hornets with CP and BG in terms of marketability, you best think again

marketability
I agree we will never be even with them in marketability but each teams skill levels will be pretty close unless we get a home run with our 10 pick or a FA.

i guess I should have read the "home" opener part though. not season opener. i don't think ESPN/ABC is going to want to put the Hornets on their opening day. it won't draw the ratings some of the other teams will.
but yes, the Hornets as they stand fully healthy (with AD included) are very close to being on par with the Clippers

Would hornets draft him over AD? or not how soon gordon comes off the board?
5th
AD
Beal
TRob

EG10
Gordon "of now" has missed 103 games the past 3 years.

Gordon would definitely go ahead of beal or MKG. different level of swingman
gordon averaged 20+ ppg in the Big10 as a freshman

Beal had Boynton and Walker to compete for shots last year. To my knowledge, Gordon had nobody of on the wing of that caliber on his team as a freshman that he had to compete for shots with.
Beal is the second best player in this draft IMO and its not close. The comparisons of Eric Gordon meets Ray Allen, when describing Beal, are spot on when I watch him play.

You people are nuts.
Gordon goes first in the draft. He's a proven, very good 20ppg NBA player. And NBA GM wouldn't risk drafting someone unproven when they can pick a guaranteed all star.
Greg Oden, Kwame Brown, Olawakandi, Pervis Ellison etc were all can't miss bigs.

i just comprehended the title...eric gordon "of now". i change my answer...still think AD would be considered, but he definitely would not be the consensus #1.
i thought we were talking about college eric gordon. makes more sense

The #1 rule of thumb of any draft in any sport is:
Great Big Man >>>>>>>>> Great Little Man
Great Big Man >>>>>>>>> Great Little Man
