Shimano citica and an allstar rod. Once you get comfortable with baitcast you wont want to go back. that'll run you $175ish.
There was a redfish tackle thread this morning. for specks i use single or double rig 1/4 jigheads with h&h plastics.
can't help you with freshwater.

I could do a baitcast. I just want to fish some more with one to make sure I've got it down.
