You guys are pretty good at this so here goes:
It was a movie about some loner in high school who takes revenge on people who picked on him. I think one victim dies in a hang gliding accident. The movie is from the 1970's timeframe.

Good thing you put the part about hang gliding in there because otherwise that's the plot of every slasher movie made in the 70s/80s.
