I like Manieri BUT he ignores baseball 101 time and time againg. There is nobody on this team that is not above bunting runners over in that situation. Katz and Rhymes included.

Oh RrrllyyYY?

You're going to have Rhymes fricking BUNT?????

I don't care if he's been on a pseudo-slump for him the past few games.

You don't have someone with close to a .500 season batting average fricking bunt.

".. Makes me crazy when college coaches ignore Baseball 101. ULM came out of that inning with momentum and almost rallied in the seventh. Double play ball saved Manieri from a lot of hard questions... I like Manieri BUT he ignores baseball 101 time and time againg. A lot of times a coach just goes with their gut feeling. Had Katz hit a 3 run homerun we don't question it. Also with was 1st and 2nd with no outs and the game tied. He very well may have been playing for a big inning to put the game away. Had we been down a run or two I'm sure he bunts them over....its not good to always buck 101 but sometimes u just have a feeling a clutch hitter is gonna come through.

bunting your 3 and 4 hitters isn't baseball 101, its a debateable decision that different baseball experts differ on. To act like 1 choice over the other is cut and dry is retarded.

He must be a darn lucky coach if he doesn't know "Baseball 101" yet still gets these kind of results.
