Girls softball question??

A couple of innings back Missouri bunted and got on base safely. But in the process the batter dropped the bat clearly in front of home plate completely in the field of play. Should the batter have been called out? A friend of mine says so, but I have no idea.

I do believe the bat actually stopped the ball on that play. I don't know the rule, but all those chicks throw the bat in the way.

dropping it fair is ok if ball hits dropped bat its a double hit or foul

Unless the catcher scooped it prior to, but it sure did appear to stop on a dime at the handle of the bat.

Slap hitting is stupid as hell. With the short baselines the batter is halfway to first when they make contact. They don't even swing but still start running to 1st almost every time and look dumb which gives me some Lols.
