The coach is the one making the decision, not the player (or at least that's how it should be), but regardless I don't buy in to the "you NEVER make the 1 or last out at 3rd". This team does not crush the ball, and I am in favor of putting a guy where an infield hit can score him. It was a risk/reward call, and we lost.
