Totally agree. I miss that kind of basketball. Too many guys want to be all bff with the other team.

oh please

Only tenable if you assume all fouls are career threatening.

I know, its becoming hard to watch. I posted this in the other thread

yes, it was a cheap shot. and it was awesome. Those are the type of plays that breeds rivalries. Shoot, this whole series has been great because of that. Granger acting like a fake tough guy, hard fouls by both sides. Really, this was inevitable. It couldnt happen to a better person, with the way Stephenson was talking shite from the bench.

The NBA has been void of a good rivalry for a while. Free agency has killed any chance of 2 teams really going at each other.

the way these players are babied now and allowed to pigeon-hold entire franchises is laughable. Its good to see 2 teams go at each other, cheap shot or not. They were both asking for it.

he's taking up for his teammates. It doesnt matter if its a cheap shot or hard foul, he's sending a message. Stephenson was talking shite on the bench. Granger has been trying to intimidate the Heat all series. That is how they used to do it in the 80s and 90s

I agree with all of this. The Heat are beginning to show that they can't and won't be bossed around anymore

Man they got some tards on this board. Good lord.

Stephenson may have a concussion and a broken collarbone, but it's ok because he talked smack!

This isn't prison, or the streets, contrary to popular belief...and it isn't good for the league long term. You wanna see an NFL like lawsuit come down for this kind of stuff?

Looks like a good foul to me. Bench players will know not to mock Lebron now

So last year Dallas should Have committed a dangerous cheap shot on Wade and Bron when they made fun of Dirk for being sick?

I guarantee your arse would have been calling for Deshawn Stevenson or whoever took Wade and Bron out to be suspended, especially if they received concussions like Stephenson....you're in an indefensible position.

Deshawn Stevenson would break his arm trying to take Lebron out.

they didnt mock him in game. And that series wasn't nearly as physical and dirty as this one has played out.

Not the same set of circumstances

If Stephenson gets in the next game, he might end LeBron and/or Wade's career

If you want to send a message to a guy you can do it with a hard foul in the course of a game, similar to Haslem on Hansborough. The one on Stephenson is just a blatant cheap shot though.

I am not a Heat fan, but I just can't bring myself to root against a D-Wade team.

Wade is just a good guy.
