Having watched the 2 games today, I did not think the Gamecocks were overly impressive.

Well they are 1-1 vs. another top 10 team ... so i'd say they're about where they should be.

As well as leading the SEC standing.

I am not saying they don't deserve their ranking based on their overall record.

But in the two games today, I just didn't see the "it" factor.

They are the 2 time defending NCs. That carries a bit of weight with me.

And LSU had the "it" factor...come on dude...give respect to USC..started 1-5 in the conference and fought back to get in the lead.

Ray Tanner knows what buttons to push and has kept a young team focused.

I dont see them winning the National Title but this has been one heck of a turn around.

Our coaches have to realize that Nola has a bad inning and should have gone to cotton when 2 runners got on base.

Between FL, LSU, SC, and Kentucky, any of them could win on any given night. Not much separates the teams.

They really didn't look that impressive the previous 2 years either.

I'm glad we don't have to face that fricking ogre with a beard again.

Agreed. These teams are really good, and we're right up there with 'em.

Today they are, but are also 1-5 against the other top ten teams in the Conference.

we havent looked overly impressive the last two years but we are scrappy. we are a bunch of average joes that play good as a team.

They won the last two national titles and didn't really have a wow factor. They know how to win. That's all that really matters.

SC was in similar positions this time the last 2 yrs, whos to say they dont turn it on and win 3 in a row? All their guys believe in themselves plus they have one hell of a manager.

Which is usually the sign of good coaching. Tanner's one of the best and is a class act.

Tanner never misses a chance to heap tons of praise on LSU and Skip Bertman, wish we had him
