I doubt if this is true but if it were then Harper is an idiot for telling the diabolical plan to some random guy in the airport.

On a sidenote and not to hijack the thread, but if you don't think Brees and Payton have throw away non-contract phones are aren't communicating daily, you're crazy. The NFL has ZERO subpoena powers and have legal way to enforce this gag order even if they wanted to. I guarantee you that CSP is texting and calling the inner circle of the Saints FO on a regular basis.

From what I understand, the NFL had a former FBI agent help to investigate the Saints for bounty gate.
I'm sure it would be pretty easy for Goodell to find out what Payton was up to if he wanted to.

Brees (or anyone he trusts) can easily purchase a disposable cell phone with no contract and communicate to anyone he sees fit. Former FBI agent or not, the NFL has no legal wiretapping capabilities or federal warrants to back up Goodell's directive that Brees not speak to anyone associated with the NFL. Do you really think the NFL has the inside of Brees and Payton's houses under 24 hour surveillance with hidden cameras and microphones?

My friend is really good friends with Roman and his little brother. I'll have to ask him about it.

Yeah, it's been talked about a bunch on here. I just can't see Payton wanting to risk in any way getting caught doing something that would mean so little at this time. If the wrong person in his "inner" circle decided that he was no longer happy and went to tattle to the league, Payton would be in a world of shite.

He's at work right now, I'll ask him later on. Honestly though, I can't imagine him telling this to a random stranger, but maybe he did since I'm sure he gets asked about it everywhere he goes. He's told us alot of things in the past before news broke, but told us not to tell anyone until it was made public. I usually keep my mouth shut so I can always continue to hear inside things from him.
It was before I actually posted on here, but people were debating if he would get a new contract and things like that, and I already knew exactly how much money he was going to get. I'm a badass I know.

Harper needs to talk to rotoworld and tell them the plan:
Unsigned franchise player Drew Brees characterized his contract talks with the Saints as "extremely frustrating" on Wednesday.
It's no secret that the sides haven't made a lick of progress since winter time. "It's been extremely frustrating for me," Brees said. "I don't think the negotiation should have been this difficult. ... We've reached out on a number of occasions and at times I've been frustrated by the lack of response." Brees questioned the Saints' "urgency" to do a deal. Perhaps they don't feel any because they want Brees to play out the season on his franchise tender.

The NFL also doesn't need proof to enact punishment.

Take this FWIW...ran into Roman Harper three days ago at the airport...He told me to not worry at all about Brees contract. He says that the deal is DONE..but since he didnt sign his franchise tender he is currently not under contract with the Saints AND they and therefore can communicate with Payton. And Harper said Brees and Payton talk EVERY DAY.
I've heard this too

It seems slightly against the rules.

I sure hope this is the case. I just wish they get it done, but if this is the situation then I can live with that.

I think you saw someone who told you he was Roman Harper.
