Recall the "Alexander4Heisman" bumper stickers well. Man was way ahead of his time as a rare combination of speed, power, and moves. One of my favorite players ever. Perhaps the most underrated LSU player of all time IMHO. He was the Tiger version of Herschel or Bo before either of them broke out. Great to finally see him so rewarded. Way to go, Charlie!

I wish I was around when Charles Alexander was playing. The only Charles Alexander I knew of was one of LSU's DT 5 or 6 years back. The original Chuck the Truck.

Incredible force and great back. Awesome to watch and when not in stadium, great calls on radio for some of his punishing runs. Congrats to an LSU great

When I was a kid caught his chin strap after his final home at the chute as the team ran back into locker room. Still have today in my Tiger collection.

I have met him several times and beyond being a great RB, he is a very nice man. Seems to be a good person and hard worker as well. Proud to say he went to LSU. Was sorry to see him join the NFL lawsuit and his attorney I am told is ambulance chaser, but it is what it is I guess.

Charles was a very humble guy when he played. He had no ego. He would do the mandatory media stuff in the locker rooms after the game but then in order to avoid the media and having to talk a lot after that we would sneak him out of a side entrance away from the "players" entrance where players would leave from after the games. He didn't like the publicity and really didn't like the cameras. He wasn't being a jerk either. He was just a nice guy who was very humble that didn't understand what all the fuss was about. If he had gone out the player's entrance it would have taken him all night to get through the crowd.

I came to LSU the year after he left--always wished I could have seen him play. Had to be content with Dalton Hilliard--future HOF'er to be sure. Check out the OP's video again and feel free to laugh at the Wave mascot at the coin toss!
