No, you didn't actually do this.
quote:
“[The presence of the Rachni] has huge consequences in Mass Effect 3. Even just in the final battle with the Reapers.” — Mac Walters
quote:
“There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say any more than that…” — Mike Gamble
quote:
“You'll get answers to everything. That was one of the key things. Regardless of how we did everything, we had to say, yes, we're going to provide some answers to these people.” — Casey Hudson
quote:
“Mass Effect 3 will shake up the player's moral choices more than ever before, even going so far as allowing the Reapers to win the battle for Earth.” — Mike Gamble
quote:
“There is a huge set of consequences that start stacking up as you approach the end-game. And even in terms of the ending itself, it continues to break down to some very large decisions. So it's not like a classic game ending where everything is linear and you make a choice between a few things - it really does layer in many, many different choices, up to the final moments, where it's going to be different for everyone who plays it.” — Ray Muzyka, CEO
quote:
“The team has been planning for this for years, since the beginning of the Mass Effect franchise. Largely the same team, most of the same leads have worked on this for years and years. They’ve thought about [the ending] for years and years. It’s not something they’ve had to solve in a week or a month even, but over the course of five or ten years.”
Your move, buddy.

how the ending of one video game effects my future purchases of another one doesn't even come close to mind.
I really am startled at how dense you're acting. I'll say it slowly THE ONLY REASON I BOUGHT THIS GAME WAS BECAUSE OF THE PREVIOUS GAMES IN THE SERIES. THEREFORE FOR FUTURE PURCHASES FROM SAID FRANCHISE AND COMPANY I'LL LOOK TO THE PREVIOUS FAILURES AND NOT SPEND MY HARD EARNED MONEY ON THEM.

I still laugh when I read those quotes.
Vindictive laughter, but laughter all the same.

So one ending to one EA game has now has now changed your opinion to every EA from now on. Yeah you sound like an adult alright.

How does the old man an little boy, who are humans, tie into the finale? Are they part of his lucid dream before death? Please explain this to me.

I like how he has the balls to say this to me, "All you brought is my opinion is right and yours is wrong. It boils down to the "it is shite because I said so" defense" and then posts this garbage about it being his opinion.

I think Tactical1 works at EA or something.

So, if you feel that a company has given you a raw deal in any facet of life, not just video games, you take your screwing with a smile and continue to do business with them?
EA is just like any other company in any other industry. frick up enough and people start to take notice.

Oh my sweet Jesus we are talking about Bioware
I never mentioned EA(that's another subject)
Yes Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 has changed my opinion on the quality I expected from Bioware. Any sane customer would do so. It's called cutting your losses.

Well, to jump into this argument now, if you go back to the first page, someone posted a link detailing every lie that Bioware told the customer base.
While I would agree those quotes are very misleading they are hardly any different than say slapping alternate endings to versions of DVD's that were virtually slightly altered variations of the same ending.
And I don't hear about people being up their arse.

quote:Their stock has been taking a beating lately. They have been dropping since last October and are now at $15 a share, a 52 week low.

In April, they had a $6.4 billion loss and had to cut 10000 jobs. They are taking a beating.

You don't control the story of a movie, nor are you told that you control the story.
Your analogy is terrible.

You are told that your decisions effect the story. I don't think you were told that you were in control of it.

Your analogy is still hilariously bad.

No, effecting the flow of something and being in full control of it are two different things.
Posted on 5/8/12 at 7:25 pm to Tactical1
quote:Well, fine then. I'll rephrase.
No, effecting the flow of something and being in full control of it are two different things.
When you watch a movie, you aren't told that you affect the flow of the story or are you told that there are multiple endings depending on your choices.
You are told that you are a watching a story take place. That is all.
If I was told by the developers that my decisions made no impact on what would happen, that there was only 1 ending with slightly varied colors, then I would have no gripe. Sadly, they said the exact opposite.
Oh, and again, I recommend you either alter or delete your analogy before other people read it.
It was really that bad.
