Southern was sent to Southern Miss in 2003. I remember they were a 3 seed that year. But it isn't a 100% lock Southern gets sent to LSU. I know Mainieri and Cador like each other and would rather not see each other.

to add....the one run that was scored by LSU came from a throwing error by the catcher trying to make a pick off at third. That was a good game. The wheels fell off for southern when they went to the bullpen though.
