John Chavis of #LSU stopped by Pendleton HS today to check on 4-star DL Michael Hill. Can LSU get in this race? Stay tuned to Scout.

Yes he was visiting Gilmore. Said we got a good shot at a great kid, but it's hard to get them to leave home. I told him we really appreciate what he's done. I asked if he was enjoying his time in BR, he said tremendously and it was a wonderful place. Right then he looks at me and reaches out to give me a big shake. Told him congrats on the new deal and we walked down the jet bridge together.

Sounds like you handled the encounter with the proper amount of respect and had a great LSU moment to remember.

Attaway to follow through

And props for not acting like a starstruck douche. You seemed to have handled yourself well and didn't pester too much. These guys are interviewed enough and don't like having to answer question after question on their time off. Way to get the info in casual convo.

What happened next??

You smiled and he smiled back, you winked and he winked back, you moved and he moved closer...

well I don't know that's just where I saw your story going.

Maybe so, I think I heard that from a comedian some time back. I think he was talking about looking into the mirror or something.
