What is it about the Basketball Hall of Fame that makes it so "easy" to get in? I've never understood that perception. Somebody please educate me on this topic...

Can you explain what you mean by "easy" to get in.

Who is in that you don't feel deserves to be?

Because its the "Basketball" hall of fame, not the NBA or Pro Basketball Hall of fame

College, International, Olympic, and Pro experience count towards a players induction

I think Miller didn't deserve it. He isn't the only one, but a recent selection that I think is stupid.

I was listening to Skip Bayless this morning and he was saying how the Basketball Hall of Fame accepts everybody. He said Tiago Splitter would be a first ballot hall of famer right now. Many other people share the same views about the Basketball Hall of Fame.

I liked Bill Simmons' proposed Basketball Hall of Fame pyramid idea from his book.

I was thinking the same thing. People just like to compare it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the Baseball Hall of Fame which is wrong IMO.

Skip Bayless only said that because they were talking about whether or not Lebron is a Hall of Famer. We all know his stance on anything Lebron.

I think LeBron would be in the HOF if he retired after this postseason.

I think the Heat will make the Finals so that's:
9 seasons
Career averages: 27.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 6.9apg, 1.7spg 48%FG
Rookie of the Year in 2004(only year he didn't make all-star team)
8 All-Stars (2 ASG MVPs)
5x All-NBA First Team
3x All-Defense First Team
Team Playoff Record-95 Games (59-36)
3 NBA Finals Appearances
2008 Olympic Gold Medalist

Reggie Miller didn't deserve it? He had the most 3 pointers ever, until Ray Allen beat him recently.. Ray Allen deserves the Hall as well

and just because skip said tiago splitter would make it right now, that doesn't mean its true. Thats the dumbest statement I ever heard..

He also was saying how Lebron sux in the playoffs and disappears every year and used the series against orlando has as example.. I think he average 38\8\8 in that series.. definitely disappeared man.

I hate everything about James but his numbers put him in the HOF if he quit today. Wait, he has quit numerous times. If he RETIRED today.

So three All-NBA 3rd team selections and 5 All Star Selections warrants the HOF?

I know he played when Jordan was around, but that seems fricking weak.

It just got broken, it's not like it was some shitty record that lasted for a season.

He didn't even get voted in before the record was broken.

The basketball HOF is a joke and he is a great recent example of why it sucks.
