It is a confusing article to say the least. From what I gather someone claimed to be a girl named Sarah Phillips, based upon a real person most likely an acquaintance. The fake Sarah Phillips blew up on covers and then got an offer from ESPN, at which point it appears someone else began to portray Sarah, possibly the real Sarah. Then it all began to unravel. Now its the big story on Deadspin. Proving that no matter how good of an imposter you think you are online, someone will catch you the one time you slip.

the fact that somebody can do this to those lengths is pretty amazing, though. i mean the OT outs fakers all the time before they become prime time posters, let alone get writing deals with national publications

What's not to understand? This 'Sarah Phillips' person, guy or girl, is a con artist and scammed a 19 year old college kid out of a popular facebook, stole thousands of dollars from a guy (and also threatened to have LAPD beat him up and scammed ESPN into hiring he/she.

Only thing no one really knows is whether Sarah Phillips is real and just has a personality disorder or if someone is controlling it underground and this Sarah girl is just the face.
