LSU has only 1 loss to anyone outside the RPI Top 50.

ETA: It's to Notre Dame. I don't know how this compares to Oregon, I haven't looked at their stuff.

People always talk about mid-week games and how it's no big deal to drop one every once in a while, but I don't think LSU has lost one this year. (currently knocking on wood)

They haven't, but I would say look at who they have played mid-week.

Regarding Oregon's losses...ugly. They have losses to teams whose current RPI are:

4-UCLA(1 loss)
49-Washington (2)
52-Texas State (2)
55-Oklahoma (1)
57-Illinois (1)
73-WSU (2)
91-Hawaii (1)
195-Utah (1)

And our losses are

2-Florida (1)
10-Kentucky (2)
24-App St (2)
31-Miss St (1)
46-Auburn (2)
46-Georgia (1)
112-Notre Dame (1)

That's a fair point, but they did play plenty of teams that no one would really have blinked at if they lost to them. ULL, USM, Tulane, SELU. Not a murderers row, but would have been acceptable losses (not all four in the same season, but you get the point).

Kendall Rodgers should probably look at stats like these instead of his little handy dandy excel spreadsheet he only references.

Yep. All of our losses except for 1 are better than all of their losses except for 1

Well, he likely uses RPI based stuff because that's what the NCAA uses

I agree we're getting hosed, to have the SEC leader not getting a national seed is ridiculous. If we win the SEC regular season title I don't see how they can keep us out of the Top 4 much less the Top 8.

Additionally, a couple weeks ago Kentucky was #2 LSU #7, since then LSU made up a game on Kentucky yet now we are out of Top 8. And if Rice is gonna be the #4, there is no way LSU cannot be in Top 8. Rice is not a #4 seed.

Even the "Next 10" is screwed up. Texas State might have played some good teams but they are 13-11 in the Southland and they've been holding them up there for a quite a while bcause they think they're gonna play better and they just haven't and are afraid to admit they are wrong.

Dallas Baptist has beat Oklahoma twice and lost to everyone else worth a flip

I'm sure I could rip the rest of the teams also, but I don't have time

Oregon should not be ahead of LSU. That's just dumb.
