Happy Memorial Day Saints Talk! Fitting as you can see the US flag tat in the first two picks of #68, Kyle Turley.
Turley was an All American and San Diego State and was the 7th overall pick in 1998. He played with the Saints until 2003 and was a first team all pro in 2000. He played in and started 79 games for the Saints. He then went on to play one year for the Rams and two for the Chiefs.
He's probably most famous for taking the helmet of a jets player off his head during a play and throwing it into the stands. He threatened to kill Mike Martz while in St. Louis and was released. He also had injury issues and lost a bunch of weight before going to Kansas City. He has come out in full force as an advocate for players safety recently. He also plays music and founded Gridiron Records.
