I still think it's kinda weird that Bruce, through the span of the movies, has only been Batman for maybe 2 or 3 years, and we get an EPIC CONCLUSION to Batman's story.

This movie starts 8 years after TDK. We don't know how much of that time Batman has been active. Nolan's realistic approach would leave a strong man pretty beaten down after being Batman for 10 years.

He just doesn't come across as the mastermind that the joker is/was. Seems more like a big strong smart guy, not a super villain.

Same as the first one, I didn't love it. Not really sure what's wrong with it.

Felt the same way. Can't exactly put my finger on it, but it just seemed like something was missing. Still believe the movie will be awesome though.

I am super excited for this movie, but this trailer didn't pump me up like I hoped it would. If Bane's voice gets projected like that the whole movie it will be annoying. It's like they over amplified it. Regardless I am definitely seeing this when it comes out.

All this bitching and complaining and nickpicking about Bane reminds me of when Heath Ledger was announced as the Joker. I remember it pretty vividly. Alot of people swore left and right that there was no way Ledger could pull off that role.

This board was saying basically the same thing now what they were saying then. Just looking for something to be skeptical. Sad, really.

This.

Same thing for the Catwoman role. Early on, especially on this board, everyone couldn't stand that Hathaway was cast. Now in this thread, everyone is starting to say she looks good in the role.

Huh? Wouldn't a big, strong, smart guy be the ultimate super villain?

I still think Hathaway will be hokey.

And Bane, even with the voice, will be awesome a la Ledger.

Hathaway is well cast, I'm just not sure why Nolan is using Catwoman in the first place. I'm looking forward to eating crow though.

Oh frick Loki. Sure he has magic and all that shite, but we are talking about real world shite here. Loki is obviously more super since he's a god, but Bane is pretty bad arse for being in a real world enviroment.

I wasn't big on the choice of bane early on, I also thought the joker should have been recast and you tell the story you originally set out to do.....but I think he's going to pull this off. I like the idea of a villain who can physically challenge batman. The shot of him walking away with the mask was awesome

My theory is that she'll be the reverse Harvey Dent. Just from the last couple of trailers, where we see Selina at the ball, she seems to be in on the scheme with Bane at the very start. But as the movie progresses, she sort of becomes an anti-hero as she sees just how evil and disturbed Bane really is. By the very end she is an ally of Batman.

That's kind of like their relationship in the comics. They have an on again/off again thing going on where Catwoman is Batman's friend at one point and then his enemy at the next point.
