Serious question - does anybody think I should hedge my 2 outstanding series bets that are dependent on Lakers winning? Nuggets moneyline is at +240 - was honestly hoping it would be a little higher what with the return of Meta World Peace. If I should hedge - how much do you think I should risk? The other factor is that I probably will not be able to watch this game because I'm going to some art function in Minneapolis, so hedging to the point that regardless of the result I come out the same is an attractive option as I could then pay attention to my date and not be checking my phone or trying to find a TV constantly.

quote:

Lakers to Win Series: $500 to win $142.86
Pacers/Lakers/Thunder to Win Series: $500 to win $336

Nuggets ML +240

So a $280 bet on Nuggets moneyline would win $672 for total payout of $952.

$430 would play $1,032 for $1,462 total

Lakers win $1,000 pays $478.86 for $1,478.86

takes a lot of worry off your back and you either make 32 dollars of 48.86

Thanks a ton - I'm not going to pull the trigger just yet b/c I think with huge public teams like the Lakers we'll see the Nuggets ML price improve closer to tip.

Maybe I would only have to wind up playing about $365 if the odds for Denver inprover another +020.

Another way to look at it is that my cumulative odds are still better than the current odds for Game 7 with Lakers at -280. And that's probably going to get to -300. The more I think about it the more I'm going to just throw like $175 on Denver ML right before tip so that I'll still be rooting heavily for Lakers but a Denver upset wouldn't quite be Armageddon for my account balance either.

Just hedged on the clippers/grizzlies series with a 1 point opportunity for a middle.

I hope this kind of strategy doesn't get me in trouble with Sportsbook.com

If this wasn't an already look at me thread, you just took it to the next level here.

Meh. I took a huge risk and have been ridiculed, etc. in this thread even while winning a decent amount of money. I think most fair minded people would say I deserve the payoff when I win, as I am regularly savaged and peppered with "dude WTF" and when I lose or when people disagree with my plays.

My main point of this thread was to entertain people - either at my expense when I lost $1000 or as I won and made a run towards something bigger.

I'm on Team Minnesota all the way. People get on him for throwing no caution to a value betting strategy. Gambling is about one thing, making money. I hate when people assign "stars" or "units", but there's no reason to get on them about it. That's there method. Like him or not we all can agree at the end of the day he's not exactly hurting thus far.

I'm on the bandwagon as well. If you do make it to 65 hundo, might as well shoot for 10k

let's do it! Small play to give me something to watch while I clean my place up...

ETA: BTW my bankroll is about to get a lot smaller because I really am going to withdraw the max $2500 within the next 2 or 3 days. So I might crap out pretty quickly if I'm only working with $800 or so... have been trying to get my leftover up to like $1500 so I have some ammo to keep rolling with.

I would have pushed and gotten my $318 back and then been poised to win the Grizzlies bet. Not a middle but a push and a potential win. Instead if the Grizzlies LOSE game 7 i've middled myself into 2 losses

Huge win tonight fellas - drunken betting does pay off sometimes.

I was watching the 2nd half downtown after the art show and I knew the Lakers were going to pull out the game. If you don't like me posting the bet after the fact I understand but I got back to my condo in time to grab screenshots, plus the timestamps should verify me (in addition to the existing bets that you all should recognize from me posting earlier).
